Our Story.

We understand applying for post-graduate medicine is difficult – we’ve been there. We remember scouring the internet for resources: asking friends-of-friends-of-friends for advice, taking any opportunity to ensure we had the best chance of getting in.

That’s why we created GamsatScience. Developed by a small group of medical and dental students, this is a platform for current medical and dental students to pass on their knowledge to those aspiring to follow in their footsteps.

For those looking to enter medicine or dentistry, here you’ll find medical and dental students who truely excel in the areas they tutor, eager to share their aquired wisdom.

Meet The Team

Dr Alison

Founder, GAMSAT Section 1 & 2 Tutoring Co-ordinator

Hi, Welcome to GamsatScience! I am currently a practicing dentist with with over 10 years of tutoring experience. I’ve supported more than 100 students in achieving outstanding GAMSAT results—many of whom have gone on to secure places in medical and dental school.

Having sat the GAMSAT myself and scored in the 100th percentile, I understand just how intense and overwhelming the process can feel. That’s why our lessons are structured, focused, and designed to reduce stress—not add to it.

Each session is tailored to your needs, with clear goals, practical strategies, and targeted feedback to help you steadily improve in GAMSAT Section 1, 2 and 3. We believe that mastering critical reasoning techniques and developing clear, persuasive essay writing are skills essential for success in the GAMSAT.

Whether you’re just starting your GAMSAT journey or looking to push your score even higher, we offer personalised, results-driven tutoring tailored to your goals. We’ve worked with students from all backgrounds, including ESL learners and high achievers aiming for perfection.

I’m here to make the process clear, approachable, and effective—and I can’t wait to help you succeed.

Let’s work together to reach your GAMSAT goals! 😊

Hello, I’m Grace! I am currently a first-year MD student at the University of Sydney, and I’ve previously completed a Bachelor of Science (Adv) (Hons) and a PhD in cancer immunotherapy. With my background in scientific research and university teaching, I am highly experienced in communicating complex scientific concepts in a clear and approachable way, and I apply this in my approach to teaching Section 3. Anna Cruz, Medical Student, University of Melbourne

Specialist GAMSAT Section 2 (82) Tutor

Hi, my name is Anna! I am currently a Doctor of Medicine student at the University of Sydney after having completed my Bachelor’s from the University of Melbourne. After scoring an 82 in Section II of the GAMSAT, I developed a passion for helping others hone both their effective communication and prompt interpretation skills to score well in their own essays. When I’m not tutoring, I’m probably dancing, sifting through thrift racks for the next cool find, or in the kitchen still hand-whipping meringue (because I’m procrastinating buying a stand mixer!). I look forward to helping you earn an excellent Section II score.

My teaching style is flexible—I adapt to what each student needs, whether that’s refining problem-solving techniques, strengthening their understanding, or just building confidence.

I scored an 86 in Section 3 by approaching it as a problem-solving exercise and focusing on my ability to interpret graphs, recognise patterns and calculate maths equations efficiently rather than rote learning basic sciences.
